Upgrade to a Smart Garage Door Opener
Modern smart garage door openers offer features that significantly enhance security. Real-time alerts notify you whenever the door opens or closes. Remote monitoring lets you check your door's status from anywhere. Auto-close features ensure the door closes after a set time, so you never accidentally leave it open. Some systems even include cameras so you can see who's at your garage. This technology gives you control and peace of mind whether you're at home or away.
Never Leave Your Remote in Your Car
Leaving a garage door remote in your car is like leaving a key under the doormat. If your car is broken into, the thief now has easy access to your home. Instead, use a keychain remote that stays with you, or switch to a smartphone app that controls your door. If you must keep a remote in your vehicle, use the visor clip inside your glovebox rather than in plain sight.
Secure the Emergency Release
